WF725: Sunless Sea
Quasi-successful quasi-roguelike. Bequeathed to Failbetter Games.
Sunless Sea was my first actual videogame and, because of the connection with my father’s death, still my most personal. I conceived it when Failbetter Games, my first studio, was months away from bankruptcy. We ran a fairly successful Kickstarter (which seemed very successful at the time, given how desperately short of money we were) and made the whole thing in sixteen months. I wish we’d taken another six months. Not the last time I’ve made that mistake. [ ATTAIN / PRECURSOR MATERIAL ] See also: Why-the-Unterzee-Eats-Ships ◆ ◆ |
